This program will provide information about the history of Valentine’s Day and traditions throughout the centuries. We will examine how this annual holiday helps us when needing to make five essential statements at the end of life.
Upon completion of this program, the participant will be able to:
∙ Understand the history of Valentine’s Day and how it began.
∙ Recognize the importance of Valentine’s Day traditions throughout the years.
∙ Identify religious, secular, and cultural Valentine’s Day rituals.
∙ Understand the different ways that different cultures celebrate Valentine’s Day.
∙ Recognize the mental health benefits of making five essential statements before we get to the end of life.
The link will be sent before the session begins. This may be available for 1.5 CEUs through the Continuing Education Institute of Illinois. I’d also welcome caregivers, patients, and curious participants. Please join us! Each session also includes an “Ask a Doula” Q&A at the end where I’ll answer all your questions.
