“How Thanksgiving Helps Us Practice Saying ‘Thank You’” – Online – Thursday, November 16, 2023 (11:30 am – 1 pm central time)



Description: This program will provide information about one of the five statements dying people focus on: “Thank you.” We will examine the ways Thanksgiving helps practice the art of expressing gratitude before the end of life, every year.

Upon completion of this program, the participant will be able to:

∙ Identify the five statements dying people focus on at the end of life.

∙ Identify how rituals help us practice saying thank you before a diagnosis.

∙ Recognize the ways to reduce emotional suffering at the end of life through meaningful expression of gratitude.

∙ Recognize how death doulas, therapists, and others can support clients when reaching out to others and saying, “Thank you.”
